Adam Lambert admits he had a crush on American Idol winner Kris Allen.

“I was like, ‘Oh, s***, they put me with the cute guy,’ ” Adam tells the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine of rooming in the Idol mansion with Kris.

“Distracting! He’s the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type — except that he has a wife. I mean, he’s open-minded and liberal, but he’s definitely 100 percent straight.”

Adam ended speculation in the mag about his sexuality by coming out as gay.

“I’ve been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man,” he admits, adding that he didn’t reveal his sexuality on Idol, “because it would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing”.

Meanwhile, Lambert, 27, has landed a record deal.

He will release an album, licensed to RCA Records, this fall.

“I’m thrilled that we’ve come to a creative and collaborative partnership and look forward to developing a really exciting album,” the Idol runner-up said in a statement Tuesday. “We are 100 percent on the same page and are all anxiously awaiting the start of the recordings. It’s going to be ridiculous! Get ready!”
