Angelina Jolie feels threatened by Megan Fox, it has been claimed.

The actress — who recently celebrated her 34th birthday — is apparently furious that Hollywood is touting the Transformers star as the ‘new Angelina’.

“Angie is not thrilled about turning 34, to put it mildly,” an insider told Life & Style magazine. “In fact, she’s panicking a little.

“She feels that her age is starting to undercut her choice of film roles — and it annoys her that Megan Fox is being touted as the ‘new Angelina.’”

Jolie — who played Lara Croft in the first two Tomb Raider films in 2001 and 2003 — was recently deemed too old to reprise the role.

“We are rebooting Lara Croft,” said producer Dan Lins. “It’s a great story that we’re going to tell, very character-orientated and more realistic than the past movies. It is an origin tale so it’s going to be a younger Lara Croft.

“It will have character-driven action. I think for me the Lara Croft games and movies have gone a little too action-oriented. I wanted to have action, but with character.”

Fox has also been tipped to replace Jolie in the action-packed film franchise.

“Megan is definitely a strong candidate for the part,” a source said earlier this year.
