Robert Pattinson just can’t catch a break!

The hunky Twilight star was attacked by a swarm of female fans while making his way back to his trailer on the New York set of his new movie Remember Me. Video after the jump.

Fortunately for Rob, his security team were able to step in and put a stop to all the craziness.

Remember Me — which hits theaters in 2010 — is centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies. The flick also stars Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper.

Robert, 23, recently revealed his fears that he wasn’t paying enough attention to his legions of fans.

“I feel guilty because when you have hundreds of people looking to you, you have to live up to expectations,” he said.

“You see all these people that surround you and you think that one way or another you have to please them.”

    Please everyone please respect Robert’s personal space. This has the potential to drive him away. We would like to see him do more american movies and maybe music. He has a right to live a normal life just like you and me. Please don’t take that away from him please. If you see him and feel you are about to loose it, take some deep breaths and a walk if necessary. Don’t restrict his life anymore than it is already. If you like him, show him proper respect please. If you want to see him do more movies here in america, allow him some room. Allow him some privacy. Allow him to walk down the street without taking pictures or mobbing him. Allow him to sit in a restaurant undisturbed. Allow him to give you permission to approach him for an autograph. Allow him to explore more of what this country has to offer him without screams. Allow him to have a normal life just like you and me. Doesn’t he deserve that much? Allow him to have peace of mind without paranoia.
