Leona Lewis Eyes $1.5m Rural Retreat
Leona Lewis is gearing up to spend some serious cash — she’s set to splash out $1.5m on a new home.
The Bleeding Love singer — who is believed to have amassed a $15m fortune since winning the 2006 series of Simon Cowell’s UK TV talent show the X Factor — reportedly has her heart set on a converted barn in a Hertfordshire, UK, village.
So when Leona returns to the UK from Los Angeles, she plans to buy the property.
“Leona can’t wait to return to the UK full time and is keen to buy herself a nice country home rather than purchase anywhere in town,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“She wants to be able to enjoy some time away from the spotlight and do normal things like pop out to the shops for a pint of milk.”
Leona, who has been in America working on her forthcoming second album, recently revealed how she was keen to come back to the UK.
“I’ve missed EastEnders, my family and being able to walk to the shops,” she said.
