Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are planning a summer wedding.

The couple — who are already parents to daughter Harlow Winter — is reportedly keen to tie the knot before the birth of their second child.

“Nicole wants to take Joel’s last name,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “When she marries Joel, she’s going to become Nicole Madden.

“She doesn’t want any confusion with her kids, either. They’re all going to be Maddens.”

The couple is planning to invite about 75 family members and close friends to a garden wedding at the Beverly Hills estate of Nicole’s father, singer Lionel Richie, added the friend.
