Robert Pattinson has a long-running gag with his pals — that he’s gay!
The hunky British actor apparently confessed in a recent interview that he likes the boys.
But according to one of Rob’s closest friends, Marcus Foster, the shocking interview was the 23-year-old’s idea of a prank.
“His gay confession — it’s a silly joke!” Foster told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “Rob did it just for fun. He told the interviewer, ‘And I am just gay!’”
“Put it this way,” Marcus added, “I know Rob very well, and the girls have nothing to worry about. He’s not gay.”
Pattinson plays Spanish surrealist painter Salvador Dali in the upcoming biopic Little Ashes, and he has a steamy gay love scene with actor Javier Beltran‘s character, poet Frederico Garcia Lorca.
Rob — who is rumored to be dating his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart — has claimed the “sex scenes were in fact the best scenes”.
