Adam Lambert can’t believe he’s scored himself a spot on People magazine’s Hottest Bachelor’s list.

The American Idol runner-up says he doesn’t see himself as attractive.

“I’m not hot!” said the flamboyant singer. “That’s pretty cool. That’s really cool.”

“I think that attractiveness is a universal thing,” he added. “It shouldn’t matter who your preference is. I mean, it’s like, [if] you think something is good-looking, you think it’s good-looking. What’s the difference?”

When asked if he thought being open with his sexuality is changing people’s minds, Lambert said for him, it’s just a bonus as he is focused on being an entertainer above all.

“I mean my goal is to just sing,” he said. “I’m just putting on a show, you know, and if that’s how people feel about it then that’s really cool.”

The 27-year-old recently revealed that he’s planning to buy a house.

“I think I’m going to buy a house,” Lambert told Parade magazine. “It’s a little ways off. I’ll probably wait until the end of the year. That’s exciting to me, to have a home.”
