Vanessa Hudgens is learning how to kick butt!
The High School Musical star is gearing up for her role in the highly-anticipated movie Sucker Punch – and she’s been aching for it.
“I’m not necessarily scared,” she says. “I am extremely excited. I had my stunt evaluation the other day and it was basically learning how to throw the correct punches and all these kicks and craziness that I never knew how to do.
“By the end of that day I was going back and forth with someone — kicking, punching, kicking, punching — and then he would have to come back at me and I would have to block it. Then the next day I felt so bad. I have never been so sore in my life. I love it but it was ridiculous.”
Vanessa — who is currently dating her former HSM costar Zac Efron — recently revealed that she’s “stoked” to have landed her action-packed role in Sucker Punch.
“I’m so stoked about it,” she said. “I kept telling everyone, ‘I want to do an action film.’ But they were like, ‘Maybe in a few years.’ So I’m like, ‘Ha, in your face. I am doing one now!’”
