Madonna to Replicate Her Country Estate

MadonnaMadonna knows what she wants!

The 50-year-old singer recently bought a $37m New York townhouse — and she’s having it made into an exact replica of Ashcombe, her Wiltshire estate.

The Holiday hitmaker has ordered her architects to recreate its country feel room by room.

“It would have been easier if she had just asked [ex-husband] Guy Ritchie if she could take everything from Ashcombe with her,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.

“She had an amazing collection of Oriental carpets there, but she doesn’t want any of them in her new townhouse. She thinks it’s bad karma and instead has meticulously documented the estate room by room.

“She has ordered flunkies to go out and troll the Upper East Side boutiques for candelabras, side tables, and period chaises.

“The architects were under the impression she wanted the place modernised. But Madonna said if she wanted some hipster apartment she never would have bought this place on the staid Upper East Side.

“It is the genuine article — old world, home to New York’s aristocracy for over a century.

“She doesn’t seem to want to give her old place up and admitted it was very painful to leave it all to Guy,.

“Living there was like living in a dream. She loves the fact that the new townhouse has tons of fireplaces, just like her English manor.”
