Mariah Carey has hinted that her happiness with husband Nick Cannon has caused her to put on weight.

The couple tied the knot at Carey’s private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas on April 30, 2008.

And Mariah, 39, insists she’s on top of the world — and embracing her curves.

“I love to eat,” she told Britain’s new! magazine. “I never knew I could be this happy — it’s pure bliss.

“I’m a curvy girl and switch around with my diets all the time. I love to eat.”

Are children in the star’s future? “Motherhood’s something I plan to encounter at some stage,” Carey dished.

It was reported earlier this month that Mariah had been “stuffing her face” as she works on her upcoming record.

“Mariah loves food,” an insider said. “Right now she’s making an album and eating everything and anything she wants. She has put on about 15 pounds, but she loves the curves.

“She’ll definitely tone up again when she releases her album, but as of now, she’s stuffing her face.”
