Michael Jackson — who died Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles — had recently passed a physical examination required for the promoters of his upcoming 50-night stand to get insurance for the multimillion dollar production.

“He passed the physical and everything was a go,” a source told E! News.

Michael was also expected to be looked at one last time before heading to England for the shows at the O2 Arena.

The promoters of the production, AEG, had previously assured the media that they were well-insured in case the shows, which sold out in record time, could not go off as planned. They are now faced with the task of refunding somewhere in the region of $85 million in pre-sold tickets.

A spokeswoman for The Outside Organisation, which was organizing the publicity for the shows, said she had no comment at this time.

Wacko had a history of health problems and had not completed a concert tour in 12 years.

Jackson had three children — Michael Joseph Jackson Jr, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince Michael Jackson II.

Recent reports have suggested Jackson overdosed on a painkiller called Demerol, which is similar to morphine.

    I agree, the Wacko but was uncalled for. and yes I believe that a healthy man’s heart is just not going to simply stop unless there is a significant cause, he was not a fatty actual heart attack unlikely, I think he might have just took too many meds like heath ledger, anna nicole, etc..we shall see.. rip michael jackson! fantastic musician and performer!

    Michael Jackson was and still is a great King of pop with his unexpected dead, is a story left to tell did he die because of jealoursy? was he sick to that externd that he need to meet his ancestors? Well all is known by the creator but in the eyes of human which I firmly bye the point Michael is dead because we human are wicked the fact which has not been staed here is the greates truth that Michael brought, the whites and the blacks together yest I wanna tell that its due to racism that he is dead and the message to all those racist where ever they might be I wish you all the best of worst life black white yellow red or what ever kind you might be.
