X Factor judges Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue are at war — after the former Aussie pop star accused the music mogul of undermining her.
The pair reportedly came to blows during the third day of the London auditions after Cowell, 49, repeatedly cut her off with sarcastic put-downs as she commented on performers
“Simon was in an impatient mood and kept interrupting Dannii with really sarcastic remarks when she tried to give her opinion on the acts,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
“She tried to keep calm but it all became too much and she turned on him during one of the breaks.
“Dannii isn’t afraid to stick up for herself, especially after all the abuse she has received at the hands of Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, so she basically told Simon to lay off. She wanted to make it clear that she is not prepared to tolerate any kind of sniping, even from the boss.
“She was also getting frustrated as she couldn’t hear the singing properly and irritation levels were running high. She wasn’t in the best of moods by the end.
“It seemed the producers thought it was a good idea to put some distance between them. It hasn’t yet been decided if it’s a permanent change.”
An X Factor spokeswoman added, “It’s not uncommon for judges to swap places during the filming.”
