Michael Jackson’s Mansion Searched by Police, Drugs Seized

Michael Jackson‘s rented Los Angeles mansion has been raided by police — and they’ve reportedly seized “bags” of prescription drugs.
The singer, 50, died Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles. It is widely believed he overdosed on a powerful painkiller named Demerol.
Jackson family lawyer Brian Oxman told Life & Style magazine that law enforcement officials searched the pop superstar’s pad and took away “bags of material,” including vials of prescription drugs. Oxman also said he was prepared to name names of doctors who prescribed drugs to Michael.
“Police seized bags of material from his house. They were looking for drug vials and syringes. I don’t know if they found syringes, but there would have been a lot of drug vials,” said Oxman, adding that he would help the police investigation into Michael’s death.
“I did warn him about the drugs, but I am sorry I didn’t warn him enough,” Oxman said.
“I am going to wait until I get the toxicology report, and if his death has something to do with drugs, I am prepared to name names of doctors who prescribed them.
“They [the Jackson family] couldn’t even talk to one another in the hospital. It was total silence, and they were just holding one another’s hands.”
Jackson’s autopsy was completed Friday. The L.A. County Coroner said there was no trauma to the star’s body and “no indication of foul play”.
The coroner said that Michael had been taking “some prescription medications.”
The coroner said the cause of death was deferred because additional testing — including toxicology and other tests — is needed. It will take 4-6 weeks to complete.
