Michael Jackson’s Drug Cabinet Revealed!

So, what drugs was Michael Jackson taking before his death?

Michael Jackson

The legendary singer died Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

His autopsy was completed Friday. The L.A. County Coroner said there was no trauma to the star’s body and “no indication of foul play”.

The coroner said that Michael had been taking “some prescription medications.”

The coroner said the cause of death was deferred because additional testing — including toxicology and other tests — is needed. It will take 4-6 weeks to complete.

According to British newspaper The Sun, Jackson had been taking the following drugs:

Sources close to the Jackson entourage yesterday revealed how he was injected three-times a day with narcotic DEMEROL.

Jacko, 50, went into full cardiac arrest on Thursday shortly after being given his final, fatal dose of the drug.

It is similar to morphine and should never be combined with similar drugs.

But the superstar was also taking three 3mg tablets of another strong narcotic painkiller, DILAUDID.

And sources said he had recently been prescribed yet another — VICODIN.

It is an opiate drug derived from codeine.

And if that cocktail was not already a recipe for disaster, pill-popping Jacko also took:

SOMA, a muscle relaxant in 2mg doses twice a day.

XANAX, a sedative given to Michael in 0.5mg doses twice a day.

ZOLOFT, an anti-depressant, which Jacko took in 100mg doses.

PAXIL, another anti-depressant which is also used to treat anxiety and obsessive behaviour. Michael took it in 20mg pills.

PRILOSEC, an over-the-counter pill for heartburn.

The singer was also recently prescribed anti-biotics to ward off a minor infection following recent skin cancer surgery. The drugs were already deadly enough. Patients should not take more than one pain killer at a time.

But their effect would have been increased by Jacko’s state of health.

He was virtually anorexic and weighed just nine stone despite being 5ft 10in.

Brian Oxman, the Jackson family attorney, told CNN that the superstar had a very serious problem with prescription medication, and that the people that were surrounding him were enablers. “If you think the case with Anna Nicole Smith was an abuse, it’s nothing in comparison to what we have seen taking place in Michael Jackson’s life.”

Police have already searched the superstar’s mansion.
