Ashley Tisdale admits she’s cautious when it comes to relationships — because she’s been let down in the past.
The High School Musical star — who is now dating music video director Scott Speer — was distraught after one of her exes cheated on her.
“I have definitely been cheated on. And with someone you really like, if they are cheating on you, you don’t want to believe it,” Tisdale explains. “But, unfortunately, you either stay in the relationship and keep getting hurt because it keeps happening or you get up and you move on.
“You don’t look back. That’s something that’s very empowering and I think that you should [move on] because you’ll be much happier in the long run.”
Tisdale, 23, recently revealed that she decided to get rid of her blonde locks because people kept assuming she had the same bitchy nature as her High School Musical character Sharpay Evans.
“I just kind of wanted to go back to the original,” Tisdale explains. “I was blonde for a good amount of years and I just wanted to give my hair a rest and do something different to show another side of me that people hadn’t really seen.
“I kept being mistaken for Sharpay. I’d definitely go back to blonde for a character role if I have to. But I love being brunette.”
