Michael Jackson Almost Died in 2004

Michael Jackson died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles — but the pop superstar almost met his maker in 2004.
According to Fox News, the Thriller singer’s brother, Randy, found him unconscious in his home and immediately called a paramedic friend who lived very close by who rushed to the house.
“Thankfully they were able to save him but it was all very frightening. It was a doctor that didn’t normally treat Michael and he was shocked, absolutely shocked by the amount of prescription medications he saw at the house,” a source said.
Michael, said the source, was unfazed by the near-death experience.
“A family meeting was held and basically they begged Michael to seek help,” the insider added. “Katherine (his mom) also started asking a lot of questions about how Elvis Presley died. She was worried.”
Jackson’s initial autopsy — conducted by the L.A. County Coroner — concluded that there was no trauma to the star’s body and “no indication of foul play”.
The coroner said that Michael had been taking “some prescription medications.”
The coroner said the cause of death was deferred because additional testing — including toxicology and other tests — is needed. It will take 4-6 weeks to complete.
Meanwhile, Michael’s dad, Joseph Jackson, has denied claims that his superstar son is to be buried at his Neverland ranch.
