Michael Jackson’s Family ‘Can’t Agree on Funeral Arrangements’

Posted by Adam

Michael JacksonMichael Jackson‘s family can’t agree on arrangements for his funeral.

The tragic superstar’s parents, Joe and Katerine Jackson, are Jehovah’s Witnesses — and the religion dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible.

“The idea is causing internal stress within the family,” a source said.

“The glass casket idea would create so much public interest it would take time to organise.

“People would make the pilgrimage from the other side of the world.

“The question that keeps coming back is, ‘What would Michael have wanted?’”

A date and location remain unconfirmed for the tragic star’s funeral service.

Joe Jackson yesterday denied claims Michael, who died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest, would be buried at his Neverland ranch. “That’s not true,” said the Jackson patriarch of the rumors.

Speaking outside the family’s Los Angeles compound at midday Monday, Joe said planning for the pop star’s funeral is awaiting results of a second autopsy, which is currently under way, but he expects results soon.

JOE IS NOT AND HAS NEVER BEEN A JW

  • debra joseph

Michael was not a JW at time of death and neither are his family. They may have nad affiliations with JW but are not witnesses. Burial comments regarding michael are very misleading. Debra

  • Leo

you’re lame they are still witnesses…they go to my friend’s kingdom hall. dumbass get your crap straight!

  • Nedra

Leo: just because someone attends a movie; does that mean they are a movie producer, or a theater?

I would like to comment that I’ve been a witness of Jehovah for almost 46 years, and I’ve never heard that a body must be buried within any length of time–unless there are state/or country LAWS concerning such (I’ve also lived in several countries).

Just as the Bible does not require certain burial customs, one can be buried or cremated, and at the place of their choice.

I doubt very seriously that YOU Leo are one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Your comment above suggests that to all who serve Jehovah.

Many people reared as Jehovah’s Witnesses are wrongly viewed as one…one needs to live up to Bible requirements, and by choice dedicate their lives to Jehovah, and live the type life our (example–role model–) that Jesus did. He was a mild and well mannered person, as well, Leo.

Again, if a person attends a movie, does that make him a theatre?

All meetings of Jehovah’s Witnesses are PUBLIC…no contributions are solicited and all are welcome.

Michael Jackson is dead…let the dead bury their dead.

  • charlie

    Well done Nedra.

  • Laura tyndall

I am not a jehovas witness…my mother is though..but i have great respect for them…why all talk about his religion here its none of anybodys business what he was or how he is going to get buried…its their choice… let the man rest now please… great speech nedra by the way

  • lisa

Number 1 MJ mom is the only JW. And the religion does not require the body to be buried as soon as possible. They are not MUSLIMS

  • lily

whoever wrote this article is not a very good reporter, they need to research their information more accurately, and for the record m.j’s parents are not witnesses, as for michael only jehovah and him know what his final moments were like, i wonder if m.j. acknowledged that he was once in the truth when he was dying, and what would be his hope for the future…

  • Natasha

I agree with everyone above in saying that the bible has no definate burial outlines. Cremated or buried, now or a week from now… as was said ‘let the dead bury their dead’.

As for Leo, mind yourself. you never know who you are talking to or about.

It is true most of Katherine Jackson’s younger children have been in touch with ‘the way’ however what they are doing now is between them and Jehovah.
All we can hope for is peaceful relations within the family and hopefully seeing Michael again soon.
Nedra, you have summed it up well.

Michael Jackon, if he ever was, had not been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many, many years … he abandoned it after being totally seduced by the “Dark Side of the FORCE”. IF (IF) his entire family were Jehovah’s withesses, and to the best of my knowledge PERHAPS his Mom is the only one … it would not matter.

They cannot have JWs officiate over a Muslim, or whatever MJ was at death. Whatever he was…he was not one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He cannot have a JW funeral unless he was a JW in good standing at the time of his death.

My best friend’s son, who at one time was a JW, but left, and abandoned it, and died in a motorcycle accident. He could not have a JW funeral BECAUSE …. (drumroll please..) he was not a JW.

Unless The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society also gets seduced by the DSOTF, and goes apostate, Michael Jackson will not have a JW funeral either.

His sister, Rebbie, is one of JWs. I attended her Kingdom Hall when visiting California some years ago.

  • Pfeffernuse

Michael will rest in peace, as the dead “know not anything”. We hope to see this young man in the resurrection, at which time there will be no suffering or torment or abuse.

    Hi!
    To all the readers,
    Just stop judging someone.
“THE DECISION REST ONLY WITH “ALLAH” I PUT MY TRUST IN HIM ALONE, AND ALL WHO TRUST SHOULD TRUST ONLY IN HIM.”
    (Quran, 12:67)

  • Ooops

Anyone got the thought that now that MJ’s mother will take the children they will be raised as JW’s? Would MJ have wanted that? JW’s are a manipulative and dangerous sect. Don’t be fooled by the fact that many within are nice and friendly. The organization behind is a sect and have no clue as to what Jehovah or Jah want with the future. First everyone should go to heaven, then only 144000 should go. Now, they might not know as more and more take part? It just don’t ends up right.

  • http://dragonz-world.com Moosa

I couldn’t agree more…In addition, we have to remember Allah’s mercy that Islam does away with all that went before it. Inshallah Michael is Muslim and whatever he did or people thought he did is in the past….Allahu Akbar! Many UK newspapers confirmed that Michael (Mikaeel) became Muslim Nov. 21st, 2008…but as the first post had said…”We will know once he is buried.”

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/11202008/news/nationalnews/michael_jackson_converts_to_islam_139892.htm

If indeed he did convert, I hope Jermaine Jackson makes sure he receives a proper Islamic burial. I hope the rest of his family does not attempt to cover this up.

It does matter to all the muslim and for that matter the entire world that he converted to Islam. The entire world should know that Islam is the only place where you can find peace and stability otherwise no matter how wealthy or famous you are (like MJ or Lara etc) you will find your mental and hearty calmness in only Islam.

May Allah bless him and may his family conduct his funeral according to Islamic proceedings.

You all see this as a topic for discussion because the brother was a celebrity. STOP all of you. Focus on yuor own lifes and not death, live and let live. Those who died, let thm rest in piece. Stop trying to think for GOD his plans are his, dont try to force your belives on people and say things the way you want to see and say it. How do you know that you are right after all. What you know has been passed on to you by your parents and people you socialised with since day 1. Just remeber, Belives restrict you, knowing empowers you. How sure are you about where you are going when you die.
Just learn to respect each other, whethetr JW, Catholic, Jew or Moslem, damn, people dont you have anything else to do than to make MJ’s parents more sad than they already are. May God bless yuo all.

Peace to MJ. You free at last brother free at last. while these on earth are still fighting over waste and trying to justify their existence.

Peace MJ wherever you are, is where you belong.

i think that michal should be buried were he loved spending time with is best freind bubbles his monkey!!! after all its what he would want!! R.I.P MICHEL JACKSON
HE SHOULD BE BURIED IN NEVERLAND!!

thank you nedra. i was going to say the same thing, but your 40+ years trumps my 20 so i will only say to the author of this story GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE PUBLISHING THINGS!

He was raised as a JW but he left later on.

Think about it: IF Michael’s parents are Jehovah’s Witnesses and their religion “dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible”, then why did they ask for a second autopsy, which would delay burial? Obviously one or both of these statements must be false. I can’t say whether the first statement (that his parents are Witnesses) is true or false, but I do know the second statement (about the quick burial) is false. Muslims may hold that belief, but Jehovah’s Witnesses do not.

There are a whole lot of confusions in Jackson’s family! From the little information’s i got from the net, Michael Jackson by himself does not really understand what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ and what it also take to be a witness of Jehovah God. I am a witness of Jehovah for the past 15yrs and not just a follower. Again, not everyone that enters the kingdom hall of Jehovah’s witnesses is a witness, the hall is wide open to visitors and friends and there are criteria’s that one will attain that will confirm yes that he or she is at that point henceforth a witness of Jehovah and could be dis-fellowship if he or she disobeyed Bible principles. So, if MJackson was dis-fellowship because of one thing or the other that means he is no more a JW – So, the organization he belongs to should see to his funeral.
Well, it is a painful thing that MJ dropped dead at this time of his peak age. Death is an unforeseen occurrence that could happen to anyone. May God give the Jackson’s family the mind/heart to bear the loss.

the “buried as soon as possible” is relating to his Muslim faith, JW don’t subscribe to that…….(JW for 33 years myself, now proudly and EX)

  • Music Monk

Joe has NO RIGHT to make any kind of decisions concerning Michael. I think Katherine should emerge as the official voice of the Jacksons and the rest of the family should support her while keeping Joe at bay.

  • http://www.DoNotWantToSay.com Art Rod

Jehovah’s Witnesses dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible? Where do you get your information? I have been a JW for 30 years and I have never seen this in print, not even in the Bible! The Bible is what we go by. You people make up all this stuff about us. I just read the Book of Acts in the Bible, and you know what, the people said the same things about Paul that you people say about us. Read the book of Acts, it will teach you a lot! Man, if you are going to write something about us, write the truth.

“I Would Never Do It Again!”
In another popular video, Thriller, the performer is seen to transform first into a “cat person,” then a dancing “monster.” Evidently not wanting viewers to conclude that it promoted spiritism, the film begins with the disclaimer: “Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this film in no way endorses a belief in the occult.—Michael Jackson.” Nevertheless, it was so realistic that some who saw it admitted that they were horrified at first. What was this short film intended to convey? And how does the performer, Michael Jackson, feel about it in looking back?
“I would never do it again!” says Jackson. “I just intended to do a good, fun short film, not to purposely bring to the screen something to scare people or to do anything bad. I want to do what’s right. I would never do anything like that again.” Why not? “Because a lot of people were offended by it,” explains Jackson. “That makes me feel bad. I don’t want them to feel that way. I realize now that it wasn’t a good idea. I’ll never do a video like that again!” He continues: “In fact, I have blocked further distribution of the film over which I have control, including its release in some other countries. There’s all kinds of promotional stuff being proposed on Thriller. But I tell them, ‘No, no, no. I don’t want to do anything on Thriller. No more Thriller.’”

no one what michael was thinking before he died, as to the peace that MOOSA states i dont think any religion that kills anyone can be called PEACEFUL Michael was a person of his own thoughts the fact is he was searching and in that search he helped many people and in his death we should all self evaluate “what have we done lately for human kind” religion as a whole has distroyed peace from its inception its killed many prophets and God will distroy it soon but Michaels fight is over sleep peaceful my brother my God remember you in paradise

  • Allan

Michel was not rejected by Jehovahs Witnesses…… he voluntarily submitted a letter of dissasociation because he no longer wanted to be a JW. From the day that he dissasociated himself is when all his troubles began. His mother is still a JW and one sister. JWs have no requirements for burial and it is ok to be cremeated. His father has never been a JW, and thats who did all the controling and was the tyrant in the family. Michel cannot be given a memorial in a Kingdom hall because he was no longer a JW.

“Joe and Katerine Jackson, are Jehovah’s Witnesses — and the religion dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible.”

AS a JW and Bible reader,
this statement is false has not been published or practiced.
get your facts straight. there is no “time line” but for obvious reasons, no one would want to wait to long before a burial\cremation
Respects to all his family in this time, regardless of their hope.

I was a JW for 20 years. I dissacociated myself when I realised I was part of a brain-washing, mind controlling cult that destroys families.

Actually, I think religion in general, including Christianity and Islam, are a blight on humankind,on the human spirit and on freedom. It devides rather than unite the peoples of the Earth.

As for the question ooops asked Would MJ have wanted his kids raised as Jehovah Witnesses ? The answer to your question is YES !!!! just last night on CNN July 3rd 2009 the family spokesman said on national TV that Michael asked him to come and sit down he had a couple of things he wanted done for the children and the family spokesman said that Michael Jackson said because I was raised as a Jehovah Witness i want my children to study the bible and become a Jehovah Witness. So now there is the answer to your question and if you like look up the show and you will hear it for yourself!! Second ooops JW’s are not a sect see the reason why people hate JW so bad is because they do not celebrate holidays, use profanity, and engage in anything immoral see the world is full of immorality which is the way of life for most people and being a witness you have to live a clean and pure life. As for the comment Steve Barett made you diassociated yourself because you did not want to live by bible standards don’t sit up here and tell that lie that it break up families if anything the bible clearly says what god (jehovah) has yoked together let no man split apart so you are contradicting yourself you just want to give a bad impression on JW but you know as well as I do this is the true religion and the signs of the times are clear and evident and as you see bible prophaciesbeing fulfilled you know we are in our last days we don’t have long before this systemof things come to an end. See the reason why MIchael Jackson diassociated hisself from JW is because he did not want to live according to bible standards and there were things he wanted to do and engage in that he could not do as a JW so diassociating himself was a good thing so that he would not bring reproach on Jehovah’s name and not to mislead others in thinking the things that he did was ok and accepted by JW’s but Michael knows that being a witness is the truth but he did not want to give up the things of the world but he made sure before he died to make it known he wanted his kids to be witnesses and another thing do any of you people out there know why Jay-Z call hisself JHOVA ? because Jehovah is the most high and he feels he is the most high in the rap game see jayz knows jehovah is the truth but he dont want to give up the cursing, fame, holidays etc… all of the worldly things and dont forget the money but the bible says store your treasures in heaven and not on earth even though we know we need money to live we dont base our lives on just chasing money because money is the root of all evi. Did yall people know Prince became a Jehovah Witness, James Ingram is a witness and the list goes on……. all Jehovah want us to do is serve him and thats not too much to ask but he says in the bible in the last days all will know my name is Jehovah.Remember in the days of noah when jehovah told noah to warn everyone of the flood and everyone laughed at him same as witnesses today we go out and preach and we are laughed at, doors slammed in our faces, called all kinds of names and yet we are trying to warn yall just like the days of noah and no one is taking heed well jehovah says he is gonna come like a thief in the night. As for having to be buried asap thats a lie my father passed away and we buried him when we were good and ready the religion is not that petty to tell someone oh you gotta bury the body asap please come on get for real if you don’t know what your talking about dont say nothing at all you wouldnt want anyone saying false things about you because if you did what would you do ? Of course defend yourself and thats why Im defending my religion. Michael Jackson was not a JW at the time of death but only Jehovah can read his heart Jehovah says he will judge those that judge others. I feel sorry for him he can rest now all the pain is gone and the former things have passed away.

Please note you fighting so hard to protect and defend a religion, you is quoute teh bible. Read the bible again and realise that th bibe says teh love for money is the root of all eveil, not money itself.

I think this wall is becoming a platform for JW to defend themselves and say tehy are the real deal. Please note, even if you are, stop judging others. You acting as only you are right. Stop it stop it stop it stop it stop it please stop being so self righteos. Let God make decissions and not you. This stupid discussion has become a platform for religious people of different religions to advertisie how right they are, you people are pathetic. Why you go on like this at a time like this. You are trying to make up God’s mond about MJ. What is happening to you people?

Let tehman rest and get a life. Yo might be next to die so appreciate life more and take off the boxing gloves when you write here. To teh otehrguy that is saying that church devides, egt a life yuo as well and talk sense as most of what you said doesnt make sense and you took so much time writing the message and still said alot of nonsense.

GET a LIVE and stop dissing other religions becasuse tehy dont believe in not having holidays. Yo udo what yo uwant to do and let otehrs be free. STOP THINKING FOR GOD in Jesus name!!!

People someone died and where he goes after this is speculation on thios wall. IS where he is going more important than where yu are now and where you are going.

Michael, rest in peace at last from all this JW condemnation.I thank god that as an ex Jw,I have come to know that ‘the truth’ does not come from belonging to the jw religion.JESUS said,’I AM the way THE WAY,THE TRUTH and the life”.(John 14:6)Hopefully Michael REPENTED and acknowledged JESUS as his saviour in his final moments.May he remember you when he comes to judge this world.

What this comes down to is that this is an inaccurate story by the reporter who wrote this. Joe Jackson is not and has not EVER been one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I do know of some family of the Jackson’s attending a hall in Kansas, and I believe Michael’s mother is a witness. Joe Jackson? It’s actually quite sickening to all who are Jehovah’s Witnesses that this is even claimed.

Also…as an “FYI”…Jehovah’s Witnesses DO accept Jesus. He is the basis of all of the teachings. His command to preach the good news is the reason they come a-knocking on your doors. :) Jesus did that too, you know. Anyone who knows anyone who is JW knows that Jesus is a huge part of our faith.

Jehovah’s witnesses do NOT require a body to be buried in ANY certain time period. That’s misleading. The only one I know of who is still an active JW is his sister, Rebbie, and possibly his mother. What difference does it make? He said after the Thriller video that he was no longer affiliated with them, so ????

MJ was disfellowed ‘cos of his actions. but his heart was still For Jehovah, if we see all his life and read his action,,,,he was a peacefull person..his fame killed him,,,,

we all agree he will be loved for ever on this earth,,,onlyu God knows what will happen to him when th enew system comes,,,,

see your actions do not judge others…easy to judge others and easy to be judged,,,,

  • Sara

The truth of the matter is that we can not be certain if MJ was disfellowshiped or if he was expelled. What is certain is that throughout his career he never spoke harsh words about the faith that he was brought up in. On the contrary he showed respect for this faith and only spoke good things, unlike many other ex JW’s. I believe, that MJ knew that JW’s although imperfect are the only faith who as a whole strive to follow God’s teachings in the bible “by the book.” So whether he was an active JW or not, lets respect the fact that apparently he still carried the beliefs of a JW in his heart. I can only hope and pray that Jehovah has Michael in his memory on the day of resurrection. My heart and prayers go out to his family.

HI TO ALL! I’M A JW FROM DOWN UNDER-AUSTRALIA! I HAVE BEEN BAPTISED AS ONE FOR THE PAST 22 YEARS,SINCE I WAS 16YRS (WAS RAISED AS ONE FROM 1 YR OLD)..I CAN TELL YOU THIS NOW WE ARE NOT WEIRDOS,WACKOS-WHATEVER YOU LIKE TO CALL IT-HUMANS JUDGE WHAT THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND..WE PREACH BECAUSE JUST LIKE LIKE JESUS CHRIST AND HIS BELOVED HEAVENLY FATHER,JEHOVAH- WE LOVE PEOPLE..WE WANT TO HELP OTHERS TO LIVE A BETTER LIFE NOW AND FOREVER! MICHAEL JACKSON ALTHOUGH HE WAS NO LONGER A JW-HE STILL AS WAS BROUGHT OUT BEFORE -WAS A PEACE LOVING PERSON,HE LIKE ALL OF US WANTED PEACE ON EARTH AND DEEP DOWN HE KNEW THAT MANKIND AND THE GOVERNMENTS HAVE NOT MADE THIS POSSIBLE! BECAUSE THAT WILL ONLY COME ABOUT BY MEANS OF GOD’S RIGHTEOUS KINGDOM THROUGH JESUS HAND..THAT TIME IS NEAR! MICHAEL STOOD UP FOR WHAT HE BELIEVED IN-WE DO TOO! HIS MUM AND SISTER REBBIE ARE WITNESSES! REBBIE IS A REGULAR PIONEER IN THE MINISTRY IN OUR FAITH,THE FACT THAT MICHAEL WANTS HIS CHILDREN RAISED AS WITNESSES IS A GOOD THING! THIS WILL PROTECT THEM FROM LEADING AN IMMORAL,DRUG RIDDEN LIFE..IS THAT SO BAD? I THINK SO MANY TODAY ARE MISLEAD AND MISINFORMED ABOUT JW’S-DON’T LISTEN TO THE MEDIA PEOPLE:) IT’S JUST NOT TRUE..AS THE SAYING GOES”GET FROM THE HORSES MOUTH”-TALK TO WITNESSES NEXT TIME THEY COME TO YOUR DOOR IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING:)..AFTER ALL MANY OF US WERE IN YOUR SHOES-NON WITNESSES-BUT WE LISTENED AND MADE UP OUR OWN MINDS 1 JOHN 5:20 (NOT BRAINWASHED,MINDLESS ROBOTS)…LOVE AND RESPECTS TO ALL THE JACKSON FAMILY AT THIS MOST SAD TIME! ALL THE BEST! PAM

And lets not forget MJ is history now. its only sad that he died at a young age.

  • Who ever wrote this doesnt know squatt

First Joe Jackson never was a Jehovah’s Witness he has family members who are and Katherine is STILL a J.W to this day. Michael was an approved publisher for many years, but then chose to go another route and leave service to Jehovah. As for the Muslam, idea. That was Jermain who is Muslam and not Michael, He had a interset in many religions but never adheared to any one of them. How ever in his later life before he died he did ask a family friend to study the Bible with him and his kids.
Yes Michael was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. But he was never baptized, he was not kicked out for Thriller, and he was not Disfellowshiped for anything else as he was never baptized. He disassociated himself from the Religion in the late 80′s early 90′s to further persue his singing career. I do know from close personal family friends who ARE Jackson relitives and did attend the private family services…. Michael was burried with a Jehovah’s Witness funeral. It lasted about 45 minutes to an hour then they as we all saw headed to the Staples center… All this squabling over his dead body is just so silly. Jehovah knows what Michael’s heart condition was at the time of his death. So thats all that matters… There will be a resurrection of the rightous and the unrightous here on earth.. I look forward to seeing Michael then….

  • Godseestheheart

Was Michael a JW? I don’t know. It seems that no one really does. Going soley on what I see, I would say no. But I cannot see the heart. What I do know, however, is that he still had a love for the Bible and for the religion. That is evident from the scriptures he quoted during interviews and the fact that he wished his children to be raised as JW’s. For those disparaging the religion or saying that it warped him, I ask you, wouldn’t he have wanted the very best for his children? Clearly he knew that JW’s have the truth. But it was likely that he felt that personally he could not live up to the high moral standards that JW’s require, so he had in a sense given up on himself. But not so with his children. It was widely recognized, despite all of his personal problems, that he was fundementally a very good person, loving, unbiased, peaceful. Why do you think he was that way? Because that’s the way the Bible tells us to be, he was raised having those morals and convictions. He didn’t stick with the religion on a technical basis, but it is evident that in his heart he was still the good person he was taught to be.

I really wished people would stop calling him Jacko he was a great person and loving and people should really leave him alone. I really want the family to know he is really missed and loved. I really wished I could of seen him in person and met his children we would of hit it off I am sure of that he has a lot of love and just really wanted to make a change in the world and really has impacted the world the news should of really looked at the good that he has done and not focus on the bad all the time and maybe he would of looked differently his self at things in life and I really believe that would of made a major difference and it is really sad that people lied on him and the beautiful home he made for himself and his children and other people in his life was ruined because of liars that would not leave him alone I really hope they can sleep at night knowing what they did and the part that they played and hopefully they can seek forgivenesss for themselves and what they did our of greed and I really hope his kids can stay with his mom she is a great person and my heart really goes out to the whole family Rest in Peace Micheal we love you very much you are a angel now looking down on us and making a change from heaven God Bless.

So, sick of people hating on Jehovah’s Witnesses. I’m sick of ex-witnesses spreading lies. If you want to be a JW, you follow the beliefs of the religion. If you don’t want to, you don’t have to, and can leave. You are free to come or go. I’ve had many friends leave, then later change their minds and come back. It really is that simple. We don’t judge people. It is for Jehovah to judge. We preach, to help people look into their Bibles, so they can make informed decisions. What they do with any information they receive is up to them. That really doesn’t make us a cult!

Maybe it is time for people to stop making judgements on michael and i guess on his religion. It is a private thing for sure. The media buried Michael and they will now probably find some mileage in getting him back. The simple thing is that there is a big price to pay for fame in this world. Also, i have to say this it is very sad that people use the time of a person
s death to come out and give a religion a serve. That is unkind

To my brilliant brothers and sisters..fellow JWs..what an excellent witness! I could of said some of that better myself. I feel awful for the Jackson family, and if they are reading this- you are in my prayers.May Jehovah God be with you. I wanted to send a card to the hall the family attends but I wasnt sure if I should have. It is very sad though. Whats even sadder are you people who have negative things to say.Read the bible.See for yourselves. It doesnt lie, and neither do we.In time soon enough, you will see.

    Leo,
Brother you need to work on your language. To be one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, calling a person a foul name just isn’t done. Neither is calling what a person says a foul pile. Get it together bro. or you may not be a Witness much longer. I must as one myself report this. Expect it.

The only one in the family that is a devout Witness is their mother. She is regular at meetings and out in service. The others are not even though they do come with their mom some times and do go to Conventions (Circuit and District). I saw Micheal back in 1986 at the Convention it the Astro Dome (it could have been ’85) in Texas and he would not talk to me because he was disfellowshiped due (as his mom said) to “Thriller”. He has not been reinstated since. Everyone wishes this hubbub would die down.

  • Pat

Whoever wrote that Micheal only disassociated himself and not disfellowshiped. You have to be a dedicated and baptised Witness to disassociate yourself also. Besides all of this Micheal’s mother told me he was at the back of the Convention away form everyone because he had been disfellowshiped and it was over the video of Thriller. Witnesses should know why “Demons and spiritism”.

Michael’s future now rest in Jehovah’s hands. As one comment put it, only Jehovah knows what thoughts Michael had at the time right before his death. My wish is that Mrs. Katherine Jackson and the rest of the family find comfort in the resurrection hope. -John 5:29

May Jehovah the God of all comfort be with the Jackson family.
My prayers continue to be with them all.

Aside from the sadness I feel over his sudden death, is this overwhelming sadness that I feel for not ever having the chance to meet this beautiful person named Michael Jackson.

I must agree with some of the comments ,that are POSITIVE,Evry time i hear a report or an interview ,with Michael i.e.the one with Jesse jackson from 2005 ,or the ones with Geraldo 2005 ,are clear evidence ,of the LOVE he had for Jehovah and the Bible. His mannerism ,his generosity ,his kindnesses ,his MEEK personality and shy ness ,and more than this HUMILITY,he displayed ,tell me ,clearly he was raised well ,and he clearly loved Jehovah ,He well knew his mothers spiritual routine ,and why else would he have willed those beautiful children to her?Why because he knew this is the best way of life .When i see Michael playing with water balloons ,or being chaesd in a game of tag ,and seeing him Laugh !,i know who he really is ,and we know as ot says in 1Sam 16;7 ,’Man sees the outward appearance ,but Jehovah ,sees the heart’AND NOW mICHAEL IS SALEEP IN DEATH ,AWATING THE DAY WHEN ,HE WIL WAKE UP TO THE BEAUTIFU;L NEW WORLD HE WELL KNEW WOULD COME!!!!!

To kathy jackson:please always remember you raised michael in the best way of life and just because he decided to stop serving jehovah doesnt mean that you didnt do your best job to raise him.no matter what his past is wages sins payes is death and he has paid.jehovah will always remember him . he is waitin in death for his reserection and i feel that when given his second chance he will chose to serve jehovah forever in the upcoming “new world”,and thats why he wanted you to rasie his kids because he knew you would teach them the truth and help them live through the end of this wicked system of things.
