Michael Jackson’s family can’t agree on arrangements for his funeral.
The tragic superstar’s parents, Joe and Katerine Jackson, are Jehovah’s Witnesses — and the religion dictates that a body must be buried as soon as possible.
“The idea is causing internal stress within the family,” a source said.
“The glass casket idea would create so much public interest it would take time to organise.
“People would make the pilgrimage from the other side of the world.
“The question that keeps coming back is, ‘What would Michael have wanted?’”
A date and location remain unconfirmed for the tragic star’s funeral service.
Joe Jackson yesterday denied claims Michael, who died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest, would be buried at his Neverland ranch. “That’s not true,” said the Jackson patriarch of the rumors.
Speaking outside the family’s Los Angeles compound at midday Monday, Joe said planning for the pop star’s funeral is awaiting results of a second autopsy, which is currently under way, but he expects results soon.
