A public memorial will be held at Neverland Ranch on Friday, July 3, according to NBC News and CNN.

In addition, a private funeral will be held at Jackson’s famed estate in Santa Barbara for the Jackson family on Sunday.

Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Department officials on Tuesday confirmed that plans were in the works for a Neverland memorial.

“Our role will primarily be traffic, but also crowd control,” department spokesperson Lt. Butch Arnoldi told E! News. “We will also be making sure there is no trespassing on neighboring ranches and stuff like that. We would be stationed on the perimeter of the house. The actual roadway will be the responsibility of the CHP.”

Michael’s brothers — Jackie, Jermaine and Tito Jackson — made a trip to the Santa Barbara County ranch over the weekend, following the death of their brother.

Jackson, 50, died Thursday after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

Michael’s autopsy — conducted by the L.A. County Coroner — concluded that there was no trauma to the star’s body and “no indication of foul play”.

The coroner said that Michael had been taking “some prescription medications.”

    A source close to the Jacksons has exclusively revealed to X17 Online that family will likely have a traditional Muslim burial for late Michael Jackson. “The family is considering following the Muslim burial traditions because they believe Michael would have wanted to be laid to rest in keeping with his new-found religious beliefs,” says the source.

    “Michael’s brother Jermaine is educating the family as to the special rites because he feels it’s important to bury his brother according to the Muslim way,” adds the source. Despite earlier reports that both public and private memorial services for the late music performer have been set to be held this week, there has been no official confirmation just yet from Michael’s family on the location where his body will be laid to rest.

    Michael Jackson was reported converting to Islam in late 2008, years after expressing his interest to join the faith. He later on changed his name into “Mikaeel”, which was meant as a reference to the name of one of Allah’s angels.

    In Muslim burial, per X17 Online, someone’s body “has to be cleaned, but ideally not embalmed, and wrapped in a white sheet, and it must be buried facing Mecca. The Koran also dictates that the body be buried as close to the place of death and as soon after death as possible. There should be no tombstone near the grave.”

    In his early days through savvy marketing, recognition of trends such as producing music videos, that went far beyond concert performances. The eccentric personality, hit the world of pop music exactly at the right moment in history.
    Then, in the other hand he turned himself into the biggest King of Freak lifestyle of all times, joined by 3 innocent children.
    The comparison with Elvis Presley is factual.
    Presley was also a performer with unlimited ability, a great showman, and hit America exactly at the right time in history as well.
    His shockingly unique style, particular moves on stage, brought unusual success. No other dared to do it.
    His fans went nuts when he grinded and Jackson’s fans responded equally infatuated as he grabbed his crotch on stage.
    I say this not out of spite, because I genuinely enjoyed Thriller, Beat it, BAD, the moves and everything else that he did, aside from Never Land, and all the other strangeness that followed.
    I wonder if in 100 years, historians will be amazed at the popularity of people like Jackson? Hopefully by then, we will have outgrown our compulsion to place these people on a mountaintop and worship their every move. Perhaps, it is the nature of pop music and Show Business.
