Angelina Jolie has been named the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
The Tomb Raider star earned $27 million from June 2008 to June 2009 — $2 million more than Jennifer Aniston.
According to Forbes magazine, which polled industry insiders, the majority of Jolie’s earnings came from last year’s action-flick Wanted. Aniston earned $25 million, placing her second.
Meryl Streep, who won an Oscar for her performance in Doubt, placed third for earning $24 million, followed by Sarah Jessica Parker with $23 million and Cameron Diaz, who took home $20 million.
Jolie — who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt — was recently named the most powerful celebrity in the world in Forbes’ annual Celebrity 100 list.
