Hayden Panettiere has ended her short-lived romance with British TV presenter Steve Jones.

The Heroes actress, 19, says she dumped the 32-year-old hunk because she doesn’t want a long-distance relationship.

“I’m single and mingling,” she said. “Steve lives in London, the distance is a bit too much.”

Jones and Panettiere were snapped together on Elton John‘s luxury yacht for the Cannes film festival in May.

“I’m not dating anyone specifically and I’m not looking for a house with anyone,” Hayden added.

“Cannes was a great experience. I was on vacation and some friends were going so I decided to come along. It was fun.”
