Michael Jackson’s Ex Wife: ‘He Broke His Promise’

Debbie RoweMichael Jackson‘s ex-wife Debbie Rowe says she’s seeking custody of the two children she had with the pop superstar — Prince, 12 and Paris, 11 — because Jackson “didn’t keep his end” of their agreement.

Rowe wed Jackson in 1996 (he was a patient in the dermatologist’s office, where she worked as a nurse). They divorced in 1999, but during their custody fight, she agreed to give up her parental rights, insisting Jackson was a good father.

Debbie has now vowed to fight for her kids.

“I want my children,” Rowe said during a 90-minute phone conversation Thursday morning with NBCLA.

Rowe says she will seek a restraining order to keep Michael’s father, Joe Jackson, away from the children.

Rowe said she was willing to submit to any testing, including DNA to prove that she is the children’s true biological mother. Rowe also said she would submit to psychological testing.

“I am stepping up,” she said. “I have to.”

“We had an agreement… he didn’t keep his end,” Rowe said, referring to Jackson’s death. “It hasn’t been easy. It’s been painful.”

Jackson, 50, died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.

    it’s been reported, on E! for one, that Mrs. Katherine Jackson have been living separately from Mr. Joe Jackson for a long time already and that her religion is the only thing keeping her from divorcing him, so there, nothing to worry that MJ’s children will be living with the Mr. Joe Jackson. Taking the children from those they grew up with will only do harm than good, Mrs. Katherine Jackson has staff with her to help and she’s used to having all her grandchildren all the time, plus the children are reported to adore her and vice versa. Debbie Rowe as the biological mother ought to have re-introduction with her kids and some sort of relationship with them proven of course she’s only after their utmost well-being and not the material benefits it would surely entail, after all one would wonder, what mother would accept monetary payment to give up her parental rights?

    Its a shame how so many people wanna show up when monies involved.she amde it clear @1 point that those were his children.she just carried them.so now that they are set 2get 40% of his money now she wants her babies.plz….greed will get you nothing.the children are old enough 2say how they feel.I hope the kids get a chance 2speak in court.and say if they wanna be with her or not.kuz she dnt really want those kids and that’s what’s fucked up about the whole thing.god bless you MJ and ur whole family and look over ur mother while she rasies ur kids the rest of the way…..

    I am at a loss to understand how any women can give up her parental rights to her children for any amount of money in the first place. I would die first because my kids are worth more to me than any amount of money and I am sure everyone will agree. Michael adored those children and he was a great father. She is a greedy bitch – how can he keep his end of the agrement if he is dead you bitch? She is one of the many leeches that bled the poor man dry and messed with his head – lets hope the children get to stay with their grandmother who they have a bond with. Its very sad that such an icon was surrounded only by money grabbing bastards who never had his best interests at heart for the last years of his life. It makes me so angry. RIP Michael you were an angel and loved by everyone. God bless you Michael.
