Remember Me — which hits theaters in 2010 — is centered on two lovers whose newfound relationship is threatened as they try to cope with their respective family tragedies. The flick also stars Emilie de Ravin, Pierce Brosnan and Chris Cooper. In the film, the Twilight star, 23, plays the character of Tyler Roth.
Pattinson — who is best known for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight (he reprises the role in sequel New Moon) — can soon be seen starring as Spanish artist Salvador Dalí in the feature film Little Ashes. In 2010, he will appear in a theater production for producer David Pugh.
Robert recently revealed that he’s thankful for his role in Twilight — because he fears, that with out it, he would have turned into nothing more than a lazy layabout.
“Sometimes you just don’t know where you’re going in the world,” he said. “Before I got the role in Twilight I didn’t really know what I was doing.
“At the time I didn’t really know if I did want to be an actor, I didn’t know what I was doing, I hadn’t gone to university, and I was just bumming around and not feeling particularly good at anything.
“But at the time I was desperately thinking that I would never reach or achieve my own goals that I had set for myself.”
