Johnny Depp Doesn’t Like to Watch Himself

Johnny Depp can’t bring himself to watch his own movies.
The Pirates of The Caribbean actor — who stars alongside Christian Bale in new movie Public Enemies — says he hates seeing himself onscreen.
“Perhaps my only regret is having seen a couple of the movies I did,” Depp says. “I prefer to stay in as ignorant a state as possible about my work and anybody else’s work.
“For example, as much as I want to see what [director] Michael Mann did with Public Enemies, as much as I want to see the beauty and symmetry of what Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard and all the boys did in this film, it will probably be a while before I can bring myself to take a look at it because then I would start having regrets.”
Depp, 46, recently revealed that he doesn’t like to look at himself in the mirror.
“If I could avoid a mirror when I brush my teeth in the morning, I would,” he said.
