The British actor — who is filming his new movie, Remember Me, in the Big Apple — is apparently desperate to return home to London.

“Robert is dying to get back home,” a source told the NYDN. “He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls — they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that.

“Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.”

“He’s so skinny and stressed,” the source added. “Everyone on set is worried about him.

“Robert doesn’t understand why everyone is going so crazy over him.

“He’s embarrassed by the way girls throw themselves at him. The girls here are stalking him.

“He stayed in two different hotels over the course of four days just to try to escape the fans who were following him.

“He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.”

Oh, to be a heartthrob!

    Poor Robert!
    I feel so badly for him, he is just trying to live his life, and now he is being bombarded, built up and torn down. He deserves to be respected.
    I’m sad to call myself a fan because of how the other fans are carrying themselves, don’t they realize he isn’t happy about people screaming in his face? Don’t they see the fear on his face? I don’t think they can call themselves fans, they aren’t beheaving how a fan should. There is etiquette when your talking to humans! Even if they are famous, they are still humans with feelings like fear, and they also have lives apart from their work these which are called: ‘Private Lives’ but I don’t think they are so private after all
    Hold in there Robert! Just take baby steps and deep breaths keep up the great work you are doing! Focus on your work and not the hype around it. Good Luck, I’ll keep your safety in my prayers♥
