Johnny Depp’s Kids Keep Him Grounded

Johnny Depp insists his status in Hollywood hasn’t gone to his head — because his kids constantly keep him “grounded”.
The Pirates of The Caribbean star says if it weren’t for Lily-Rose, 10, and seven-year-old Jack — his kids with partner Vanessa Paradis — he would be far more egotistical.
“There’s actually probably a group of people that keep me balanced. Certainly family, my family are a great support to me and then above and beyond certainly my kiddies y’know? Vanessa and the kiddies keep me grounded.
“But kiddies will keep you grounded no matter what.”
Depp, 46, recently revealed that he struggles to watch himself onscreen.
“Perhaps my only regret is having seen a couple of the movies I did,” Depp says. “I prefer to stay in as ignorant a state as possible about my work and anybody else’s work.
“For example, as much as I want to see what [director] Michael Mann did with Public Enemies, as much as I want to see the beauty and symmetry of what Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard and all the boys did in this film, it will probably be a while before I can bring myself to take a look at it because then I would start having regrets.”
