Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Won’t Attend Memorial Service

Michael Jackson‘s ex-wife Debbie Rowe has backtracked on her plans to attend the superstar’s memorial service.
Rowe — who is mom to Jacko’s two eldest children — was given a VIP spot by the Jackson family.
But Rowe said her attendance would distract from the celebration of the King of Pop’s life. Instead, she will “celebrate Michael’s memory privately”.
Justin Timberlake also will not be there, despite the efforts of Michael’ s brother Jermaine to persuade him to perform.
“Jermaine told Justin he was one of Michael’s favourite performers,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.
“But he decided to pay his respects privately.”
It is believed Sir Paul McCartney, who was asked about performing, could not re-arrange other commitments.
Jackson, 50, died Thursday (June 25) after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at his home in Los Angeles.
His memorial will take place on Tuesday, July 7 at 10 a.m. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant, Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Lionel Richie are among the celebrities who will participate.
