Daniel Radcliffe felt like a “phony” when he was filming the death scene in the new Harry Potter movie.

The actor, 19, has told how playing the role in Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince was particularly difficult for him because he had never personally dealt with bereavement until recently.

“The death scene, to me, was quite a difficult scene to film just because I have never in my own life, up until quite recently, never been bereaved,” he said.

“You can never imagine what that’s like so you sort of feel like a bit of a phony when you’re acting it out, but hopefully I did OK in the end.”

Radcliffe recently revealed that if people knew how he behaved in his private life, they would not consider him an eligible bachelor.

“If girls like me, it has not been proven yet,” he said. “OK, I go to the red carpet in Tokyo and thousands of girls scream at me… but the me that sits in a darkened room watching cricket for eight hours with a bowl of pasta in his underwear and socks is not quite so attractive to girls.”
