The hunky British actor, 23, strips down and poses soaking wet in a super sexy photo shoot for the new issue of Us Weekly magazine.

The pictures, originally taken for Rolling Stone, were snapped by photographer Theo Wenner.

In another photo, Pattinson runs his hands through his famous hair while brooding.

“They threw a bucket of water on him!” an insider said. “He was willing to do anything. Didn’t complain at all.”

The pics, taken in NYC over five hours, were inspired by a 1991 River Phoenix film My Own Private Idaho and James Dean.

Pattinson recently revealed that he “goes nuts” when he kisses a girl.

“I always get carried away when I’m kissing,” he told Twist magazine. “I just go nuts! Walking away after it is the strangest moment for me. It’s embarrassing — not knowing what to say to each other.”

    These are outtakes from an earlier shoot (I’m pretty sure before Italy). Really? Who gives two sh**s about real/fake abs?? I’m with Holly – lady parts exploded! As they do everytime I see this gorgeous man! More than that, how talented he his, his phenom singing voice, his sexier-than-hell Brit accent, and his adorable laugh. He’s the whole package (*and by that I mean …*) There just aren’t adequate words.

    I’m all wired up (it’s true what they say in the movies the wires make you really itchy) & heading of back on assignment & I can tell you that being an undercover operative it’s easy faking something (your identity & an alter ego you will dispise in real life) for a longish period of time for the gain of getting a conviction & it’s just as easy to fake a relationship for a longish period of time to gain Box Office numbers & to get your employer out of the throws of bankruptcy. I can also tell you it’s like being on location filming when you are away on assignment & like when a movie wraps as soon as the arrest is made I’m back to my normal life & my alter ego like an actors character is forgotten about until writing up the brief or attending court for the commital & trial & in their case when promoting the movie or at an awards show for the movie.
