Ashley Tisdale has a guilty secret — she sucks her thumb!

The High School Musical star apparently resorts to thumb-sucking — at night — when she’s feeling stressed.

“Ashley gets really wound up dealing with intense situations,” a source told the National Enquirer. “It’s her way to cope when she’s going to bed. It’s cute and it helps, so it’s not really a problem.”

Tisdale, 24, recently revealed that she decided to get rid of her blonde locks because people kept assuming she had the same bitchy nature as her HSM character Sharpay Evans.

“I just kind of wanted to go back to the original,” she said. “I was blonde for a good amount of years and I just wanted to give my hair a rest and do something different to show another side of me that people hadn’t really seen.

“I kept being mistaken for Sharpay. I’d definitely go back to blonde for a character role if I have to. But I love being brunette.”
