Hayden Panettiere: ‘I Don’t Know How to Date’

Hayden Panettiere is rubbish when it comes to dating.
The Heroes actress — who recently split from British TV presenter Steve Jones — says she finds it hard to identify her own feelings.
“I don’t know how to date,” the 19-year-old told Seventeen magazine. “I’m not good at learning that sometimes you don’t like someone in that way – and figuring out how to deal with that. I don’t want to hurt his feelings.
“Right now,” Hayden adds, “I’m just enjoying having fun. It’s when you’re not looking for anything that something winds up coming along, whether it’s a best friend or a guy.”
Panettiere recently revealed that she feels insecure about her appearance.
“I’ve never been one of those people who has been obsessed with working out or being super skinny, because I’m just not, I’m not that,” she said. “I have the body that I have and that’s not going to change as long as I try to stay as healthy as I can, and all that stuff.
“It’s a little hard when someone is standing behind you with a camera on the beach, takes a picture of your rear end, and points out all your bumps or whatever. You become much more critical of yourself, because you’re in the position of just such extreme judgment and scrutiny. People love to point out flaws and love to build people up and let them down again.”
