Sandra Bullock Didn’t Want to Get Married

Sandra Bullock says she has always been “petrified” of marriage — in case someone wants to change her.
The Proposal star wed husband Jesse James over four years ago.
But Sandra admits she thought she’d never walk down the aisle.
“I’ve always been petrified of marriage — I’ve always thought that someone would want to change me, that I’d be locked up like this specimen in a box,” she told the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper.
“I’d had a boyfriend in college and I was talking about going to New York some day and he said, ‘Why are you talking about New York? You’re not going to New York. We’re going to be married and start having kids.’
“When he said that, I panicked. I just thought, is this what it’s going to be like? I couldn’t imagine being in a marriage where someone wouldn’t want to change me and where someone would appreciate who I was, because that’s not an easy combination to pull off. I didn’t want any of that for myself, so I really didn’t want to get married at all.”
