Kelly Clarkson is so shocked about some of the rumors circulating about her — she has started to wonder if there’s any truth in them.

The My Life Would Suck Without You hitmaker says that while she escapes most of the downside of fame, the gossip is unavoidable.

“I heard that I had six kids, which of course I don’t. I don’t even have one,” says Kelly. “And there was another story recently that I got booed off a plane. How do you even make that up? I thought it was so stupid that maybe it did happen and I missed it. Maybe I had my headphones in or something.”

Kelly, 27, recently denied claims that she had dated American Idol judge Simon Cowell.

“Everybody seems to think we dated or something,” she said.

“We didn’t date but he’s always been very supportive of me.”

“The funny thing about him is the Idol contestants think he’s harsh but they should see what people in the press say about you,” Clarkson adds. “I think it’s great preparation for what lies ahead. Because of him I don’t take criticism too seriously. I just see it as advice.”
