Robert Pattinson fans need to back off!

Producers of the actor’s new film, Remember Me, are doing everything they can to keep the star from being distracted and their set overrun by over-zealous teenage girls.

So they’ve locked down the set and have given explicit rules to crew members about how to deal with questions about Rob by either the media or the Twilight hunk’s fans.

“[The crew] were told not to talk to the press at all. And when they talk on their phones about the shoot, they need to make sure no one else is around,” a source said. “They’ve also started listing these rules on the top of call sheets.”

“It’s ridiculous,” one crewmember told OK! magazine. “I worked on a film with Jennifer Aniston and it wasn’t nearly this bad. Older people don’t even know who he is.

“It’s all the teenagers that literally scream when they see him who make shooting impossible. They’ve had to hire security, it’s actually the same company Aniston used.”

It’s no wonder the hunky Brit is getting tired of New York.

“Robert is dying to get back home,” a source recently told the NYDN. “He’s so over everything. He’s overwhelmed by all the girls — they terrify him! He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that.

“Fans don’t do that to him in London. Everyone there is a little cooler about the fame thing, which is what he’s used to.”
