Janet Jackson ‘Agrees to Raise Michael’s Children’

Jackson FamilyMichael Jackson’s younger sister, Janet Jackson, has agreed to raises the late singer’s children, reports claim.

According to Inside Edition’s Jim Moret, Janet, 43, has bonded with the children since their father’s death.

“She has said, ‘I’ll step forward and I will raise them if this is what they want’,” Moret said.

Prince Michael Jackson, 12, Paris, 11, and Prince Michael II (Blanket), 7, are staying at the Jacskon family home in Encino, Calif., with Michael’s mother, Katherine Jackson, as called for in Michael’s will.

A custody hearing for the Jackson children is scheduled for Monday.

Previous reports have already indicated Janet wants custody of her brother’s children.

“There was a lot of rifts in the family, but Janet was the one person he spoke to regularly and he made sure the children kept in touch with her too,” a source recently told a UK magazine.

“Ultimately, he wanted Janet to look after the children, with help from his mother Katherine, and was planning to draft a new will to reflect those wishes. He trusted Janet implicitly.

“When he had health concerns, he had a talk with Janet about how much she meant to him and the children, and how if anything happened to him, he wanted her to make sure the children would be loved and cared for in the same way he was raising them. She told him of course she would.”
