Quentin Tarantino — Mommy’s Boy!

Quentin Tarantino makes most of his movies with his mom in mind.
The Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction director says most of the female characters in his movies are influenced by his childhood memories of his mother, Connie.
“From my mom raising me and her being a success I’ve never felt that’s there’s anything a woman couldn’t do,” says Tarantino. “A woman is only limited by her own inadequacies, not the world’s inadequacies because nothing limited my mom. So I tend to be attracted to and think of women as strong women.”
Tarantino — whose new movie, the Brad Pitt-starring Inglorious Basterds, hits theaters in August — also revealed how had the ultimate crazy fan experience when a Pulp Fiction fanatic opened a Berlin bar in his name
“People had been telling me about this bar and they’d been giving me the matchbooks from it,” he said. “Some of us went down to the bar and that place was cool man. It looks like a bar I would’ve started right in Germany or anywhere. The design of it was me.
“They had my posters all over the place. They constantly played my movies on a big screen. Played my soundtracks. It was bizarre but brilliant. We had many parties there, we had many drinks there – it was a blast. It was really cool.”
