Jennifer Love Hewitt Not Engaged

It looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt won’t be walking down the aisle after all. Well, at least not yet!
The New York Post reported earlier today that the actress had gotten engaged to boyfriend Jamie Kennedy.
The paper claimed that Kennedy popped the question on stage at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach, Calif., Saturday night.
Kennedy, the Post reported, was entertaining the crowd for over two hours before he pulled Hewitt up to tell jokes and sing.
An onlooker revealed how an audience member yelled out, “Marry her!” — and Kennedy “got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.” The actress said yes even though he didn’t have a ring. “It was a standing ovation,” said the source.
But reps for both stars have spoken out to set the record straight.
“There’s no truth to the report,” says Hewitt’s rep.
Kennedy’s rep echoes, “There’s no truth to this report whatsoever.”
Hewitt, 30, was previously engaged to Scottish actor Ross McCall. They called it off late last year.
“Breakups are awful. They’re really painful,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in April. “They really hurt. They really suck on lots of levels, but what I think is great about life is that the universe always brings you something really beautiful and great afterward — and that’s kind of where I am now.”
