Anna Paquin has only just seen her Oscar-winning performance in 1993 film The Piano.

Former child star Anna was too young to see the movie that made her famous when she picked up the prestigious Best Supporting Actress gong for her role because of its 15 certificate.

Now 16 years on, the 26-year-old has only just sat down to see what all the fuss was about.

“I never saw it when I was younger — mainly because there was a lot of sex,” she said. “I have only watched it recently — mainly so I can answer the question have I seen it!

“I figured that after almost 18 years since I filmed it I should probably see it. I really don’t know what the big fuss was about regarding my performance but I think everyone else was really great.”
