Cameron Diaz: ‘I’m Not Going to Rush Into Having Babies!’

Cameron Diaz is in no rush to start a family.
The actress — who plays the parent of a cancer victim in new movie My Sister’s Keeper — insists in real life she’s not feeling any pressure to settle down.
“Making a movie about being a mother doesn’t make me want to rush out, get drunk, get married in Vegas and have babies,” she says. “I don’t really relate it back in that way. I’m just living life. I’m very fortunate to do what I do and I’ve just been indulging in that.
“It’s a blessing. I feel like I have an extraordinary life and I just want to carry on that path.”
Diaz, 36, recently revealed that she’s looking to take on movie roles that help her grow as a person.
“I’m not going to be the 23-year-old ingenue again,” she said. “If I tried to hold on to that, I’d be a pretty unhappy individual. I don’t make movies for my ego. I do them for my personal growth and to give something to an audience.”
