Rupert Everett Fired by Vanity Fair
Rupert Everett needs to learn when to keep his mouth shut!
The actor has been sacked from Vanity Fair after inappropriate comments about its editor, Graydon Carter.
Everett described Carter during an interview as a “weird character” who is “rather fat”.
“Rupert regrets being so indiscreet,” a source told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. “He’s coming to the end of his Broadway run in Blithe Spirit, so money is tight.
“When his remarks reminded Graydon that Rupert was still listed, it seemed some housecleaning was in order,” added a magazine insider.
Everett recently revealed his delight at the death of Michael Jackson.
“I think it was fortuitous that he died,” he said. “He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn’t have managed to do them all and the press would have destroyed him.”

I love his ability to say the un-sayable. The whole ‘when will he fall?’ ‘When will we see him humiliate himself further’ He had long been viewed with derision and even contempt. He was disintergrating and we seem to love that. The price of fame and all that, it gives us unfamous people somthing to feel good about.
As for Graydon, (is that a made- kinda my family has a crest kinda name) well he does look odd, and his picture hasn’t changed for at least ten years, always a tell, but really why sack him, so weak.
Rupert Everett is sublime. I wonder why he wasn’t seen for Sex In the City? It will be an awful film but he’d give it frisson of glamour even with a small cameo.
