Kim Kardashian blames herself for her recent split from beau Reggie Bush — because she’s been so “selfish” focusing on her career.

The pair called time on their two-year relationship earlier this week because they were spending too much time apart.

And Kardashian is adamant the demise of their union is all her fault, a source close to the reality TV star has told American magazine Life & Style in its upcoming latest issue.

“Kim believes they can work it out,” dished the insider “She knows she’s been selfish and hasn’t put enough time into the relationship because she’s so focused on her career.

“She feels terrible about it — but she hopes more than anything this time will be spent working on the issues that came between them.”

Reggie’s football team, the Saints, is based in New Orleans, and Reggie travels to play all around the country. Meanwhile, Kim lives in LA but often travels the globe for work.

A friend of Reggie’s said the split didn’t come as a shock. “It really wasn’t sudden,” said the pal. “For the past few months, it’s been clear that although Reggie and Kim love each other, the distance had put a wedge in their relationship.”

“The decision was mutual,” another friend of Reggie’s says. “They talked and talked about it, and they decided this was the only answer. It was tough, but they decided this was the only way to go.”
