Russell Brand Films in New York
British comedian Russell Brand was snapped filming his new movie, Get Him to the Greek, in New York’s Central Park on July 30.
Get Him to the Greek — a comedy, which also stars Jonah Hill and Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs — is due to hit theaters in June 2010.
The film’s a spin-off from the 2008 comedy Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which Brand also starred in.
It was confirmed earlier this week that Russell, 33, will present the MTV Video Music Awards for a second time in September.
“We are thrilled that despite numerous death threats from Jonas Brothers fans, Russell Brand has accepted our offer to put his life on the line and host the VMAs again this year,” said MTV’s General Manager Stephen Friedman.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to take over NYC,” Brand told British newspaper The Sun. “This is the perfect opportunity for the United Kingdom to regain control of our former colony.”
Taylor Swift and Muse are expected to perform at the ceremony.
The MTV Video Music Awards take place on September 13 in New York.
