Vanessa Hudgens isn’t afraid to experiment with lipstick — she’s been doing it since the age of 10!

The actress, 20, appears on the front cover of In Style magazine’s special Makeover issue.

“I went through my red lipstick stage at 10,” she says. “My mom really let me play, which in the long run has given me the confidence to experiment. Now I wear everything — reds, corals, nudes.”

“I had short hair only once in my life,” Vanessa reveals. “When I was 7, I cut it myself, which I think every girl does — once. I gave myself a bob and bangs. It was really sad.

“I looked like I had worms on my head.”

High School Musical star Hudgens — who recently moved into her $2.75 million Tuscan-style California mansion — revealed earlier this week that she’s obsessed with cleaning her house.

“There is a struggle to keep the place clean,” she dished. “I’m always in my kitchen scrubbing down the counters and doing the dishes. I understand how my mom feels now.

“I feel completely safe in my house but all my friends are scared for me. And of course I can tell my parents panic a little.

“The best thing about living alone is being able to have my friends come over whenever.”
