Mischa Barton’s Costars: ‘She’s Ready to Work’

Mischa Barton is ready for her close up.
The actress — who was placed under psychiatric hold on July 15 — has returned to the set of her CW show The Beautiful Life.
And her costars are adamant she’s ready to start work.
“She looks great!” Ben Hollingsworth told the New York Daily News Wednesday. “She’s ready to work, and seems healthy and ready to go.
“She’s her own person and can make her own choices.”
Added castmate Nico Tortorella, “I’m really happy that she’s doing well. I’m not worried about her.”
Mischa’s friends, however, don’t share her colleagues’ enthusiasm.
“Mischa needs more aggressive treatment over a long period of time,” a Barton pal said earlier this week. “It’s only been a matter of days since she was released from the hospital, and I think she definitely wasn’t there long enough.
“She needs to be very cautious — she’s at a very big risk. I personally think it’s a bad idea to go back this quickly, given her past history with substance abuse.”
