Michael Jackson’s Mom ‘In State of Constant Torment’
Michael Jackson’s mom is in a state of constant torment following the June death of her superstar son.
Katherine Jackson is apparently furious at concert promoters AEG after medics engaged by the firm deemed Michael fit to perform despite his frail, drug-dependent state. She is now planning to sue the company, family friend Kevin McLin, who knew Michael for 34 years, has told British tabloid the Sunday Mirror
Referring to Michael’s 50-date London comeback gigs, McLin said, “[Katherine] told me, ‘I pleaded with Michael not to do it. I knew he wasn’t up to it’.
“Katherine is asking questions but the answers don’t make sense. She wants to know how Michael passed the physical examination he was given by AEG.
“Something has to be wrong with this because he had all of these problems — how could he possibly pass a test like that?
“Michael would have had to pass the physical examination for the concert promoter’s insurance purposes. So what does that say?
“When the toxicology result comes out and it’s different from what the AEG doctors said about his health it will be time to consider legal action.
“Michael was put through a whole battery of tests — stress, treadmill, electrocardiogram, bloodwork … and he passed them all.
“Katherine is upset, angry and confused at why her son was allowed to go ahead with the tour.
“As far as [Dr. Conrad] Murray is concerned it seems strange as to why you would hire somebody who was not of the utmost pristine credentials.
“From the outset Katherine’s feelings were that AEG were pushing him too hard, but it was up to Michael.”

My most profound sympathy to Katherine Jackson & Michael’s kids – Prince, Paris, & Blanket.
I can empathise with her in Michael’s last days. Wanting to protect her son, yet feeling he kept everyone at arm’s length. Yes, he made bad decisions; we all have at one time or another. He admitted being hooked on pain killers, that is an insipid addiction, one gets injured, and the first thing medical professional do is prescribe drugs. Many times those very drugs mask the pain, but do not address the true cause, so the pain continues, and so does your quest to mask it, especially if you are in any way dealing with the public, celebrity or not. Humans are preditory creatures, like it or not. They will pounce upon any percieved weakness. Michael was a man with a child like innocence and sometimes naieve view of the world. It’s a shame that there seldom if ever was an accountable and credible person who actually cared about Mike the person, and not the celebrity, would step forward to handle his business affairs, or even guide him, and said “no” when it was actually called for. Too many people worship the almighty dollar, and MJ was their ‘cash cow’. I think some people are endowed with exceptional talent, but also condemmed to focus on perfection of that talent, to the detrimet of nearly everything else within the social norms and moraes of society. So it must have been with Michael, better able to communicate with youth than adulthood, in order to gain aspiration, imagination, and creativity to apply to a new innovation or project. As we grow old, we all become so jaded and synical through our individual experiences in life, it’s all but impossible to attempt to maintain the wonder of youthful discovery in our out look and personality. Michal attempted to do that, and when the burden got too great, he attempted to mask the pain, fear, and frustration of those experiences. MJ was said to be the “best Daddy”, probably becasue he actually talked and listened with his children instead of to them, he approached communication on their level instead that of a dictator. This is probably why his children have been consistantly referred to as polite, intellegent, and talented, how many parents have that cliam today – very few, if you read the tabloids, watch TV infotainment, or surf the net. In all the news, I never heard MJ utter a swear word, saw him smoke, drink alcohol, do recreational drugs, abuse a member of the opposite sex, put down any one race, creed, color, or place of origin. How many of us can say that. MJ had his demons, perhaps he was not comfortable in his own personna into which celebrity trapped him at an early age. The pressure of professional and public opinion may forced him into developing eccentricities starting at a young age. The observed jaded synicisim might have influenced his approach to lasting relationships, but I was taught one’s personality is the total collaboration of the experiences, memories, and responses developed thoughout one’s lifetime. So now let us allow Michael to find peace – Second star to the left; strainght until morning.
