Tori Spelling insists she’s just like everyone else.

The actress — daughter of the late television producer Aaron Spelling — was persuaded to take part in reality shows and write books in a bid to show the world that, despite her extraordinary upbringing, she really is just a normal girl.

“A lot of people have these preconceived ideas about me — that I was on 90210, I am rich and I had a nose job. So other than that people are like ‘Who is she?’” Tori said.

“I just want people to know the real me because they probably see that I am in extraordinary circumstances but I am still pretty much like them deep down. I have to deal with poopie diapers just like every other mommy.”

Tori, 36, recently revealed that she loves reading magazines to see what is written about her and her peers.

“I have to confess that I am just like everyone else, I read all the tabloids,” she said. “I flick through and I’m like ‘Oh look at her’ and ‘Oh, bum alert!’ I have to be honest.

“But what people don’t realize is that when there is a picture taken of you walking down the street, behind that picture are 20 people falling over each other, scrambling, trying to get to you to also take your picture. They’re like an army that just follow you around. Trying to get your shot.”
