Troubled Mischa Barton fears someone is stalking her.

The actress — who was recently released from hospital after being placed under involuntary psychiatric hold — expressed her concerns during dinner with pals at Sant Ambroeus in New York’s West Village Saturday night.

“She was upset and talking frantically into her phone about having a stalker,” a source told the New York Post. “Her friends were trying to console her, but she went outside and chain-smoked cigarettes.”

Barton on Sunday told OK! magazine that’s she’s feeling great and glad to be back at work.

“I’m feeling great!” she said. “I’m really happy.”

The actress added that filming on her new movie The Beautiful Life is, “Going really well… I’m excited.”

Barton’s friends recently expressed their fears that the star isn’t ready to be back at work.

“Mischa needs more aggressive treatment over a long period of time,” a source told the New York Daily News. “It’s only been a matter of days since she was released from the hospital, and I think she definitely wasn’t there long enough.

“She needs to be very cautious — she’s at a very big risk. I personally think it’s a bad idea to go back this quickly, given her past history with substance abuse.”

“She’s obviously feeling better if she’s back to work,” added another source. “She’s excited to be a part of the show, and she’s very focused on it.”
