Shakira: ‘Women Are Animalistic’

Saturday, August 8, 2009

ShakiraShakira believes that women have “animalistic” urges that go beyond sex.

The Hips Don’t Lie hitmaker — who is is engaged to entrepreneur Antonio de la Rua — plays a wolf in the video for her new single She Wolf.

Talking about the definition of a she wolf, the 32-year-old Colombian said, “Women have this primary, basic, animalistic urge. It goes beyond sex.

Freedom is more than a state of mind, it relates to many different parts of our lives — not only sexual pleasure. But sex is the origin of life, the ultimate human expression.

“Ten years ago I would never have imagined I would be in a flesh-coloured leotard hanging from the bars of a cage. I was very traditional and very conservative. But people grow and people change. I am in another moment in my life. I feel more like a woman today.”

Shakira recently revealed she’d never return to her acting roots — because she was a “terrible” actress.

“I acted once — years ago,” she said. “I was such a terrible actress, so I stopped. I’m always making up excuses not to take up any roles that I’m being offered.

“I don’t know. I am very unsure about my skills as an actress so I don’t know.”

You’re so smart- I’m trying to decide- who do I want- someone like Lady Gaga (creative and artistic), Megan Fox (has all the looks), or someone genius (hmmmm- who could that be???)! Are you married?
