Scarlett Johansson: ‘I Didn’t Sign up to Become a Role Model’
Scarlett Johansson didn’t intend to become a role a model.
The Iron Man 2 actress — who is married to hunky actor Ryan Reynolds – says she doesn’t consider herself an icon.
“I always thought you reached icon status after you left this world,” she said. “I never signed up to be a role model as such.
“Of course, ever since I was a little girl I had an idea of what I wanted to do — which was to pursue my dream of being a successful actor.
“If that makes me a role model for people to look up to, then I suppose I am flattered by it.
“I suppose it shows that if you work hard at something you really can succeed — so it’s important to keep your head straight and focus on your goal.”
