Adam Lambert sells!
The American Idol runner-up’s cover for Rolling Stone was the mag’s top selling issue of the year.
Lambert fans went out in their droves to snap up a copy of the issue — in which Adam confirmed rumors he’s gay, Extra reports.
“People are excited that I was honest and open,” Adam said of the issue. “They feel like they know me better now — and if it turned off some people than maybe that’s for the best.”
Meanwhile, the flamboyant singer is busy working on his upcoming debut album. “It’s gonna inspire you, some anthems on there, some emotional….Overall, its just gonna feel really sexy,” he dished.
Lambert recently revealed that he’s finding it “difficult” dealing with his new-found fame.
“It’s difficult. I’m not used to it,” he told Parade magazine. “I’m still kind of working on finding that balance. I want to find it. I think because I’m so busy and really focused in on rehearsing for the tour and preparing for the album, that’s definitely my priority right now. That helps me get past the crazy publicity.”

Lambert is ridiculously charismatic as well as talented. And I mean that as the highest compliment. I’ve never seen anyone like this guy in my life.
I did not buy Rolling Stone to read about Adam’s orientation, but because he is the best entertainer to come along in a generation and he is packaged in a six foot one inch splendid male body. Not to mention the fact that he is movie star handsome and gives an extremely entertaining and intelligent interview. I will buy any magazine when he is on the cover. Rolling Stone should have Adam on for his album release in November or December. What a great holiday present it would be for the women, and a few men I know.
Rolling Stone would have sold even more copies, but the stores ran out! I had to search for a copy before finding one in a different town. I think People magazine should put Adam on their cover as sexiest man alive. There are at least six women in my family alone that would buy one. Not only is Adam gorgeous, he has the most endearing personality I have ever seen. That adorable “oh, oh what will Adam do or say next”side to his personality is just intoxicating.
JUST SAW ADAM PERFORM LIVE FROM 6th ROW last night. I cannot stress in any words how unbelievable seeing him perform live in front of me was. It was like the sun rising, it was like taking a drink of luscious water in a desert. It was so incredible, I’m still reeling. Seeing him on tv was great, but live was just beyond words. When I say Adam lights the stage on fire, it’s an understatement. He just has so much charisma and magnetism, I felt like those who first saw Elvis or the Beatles perform. Seeing him live 20 feet away is on my top ten life experiences ever. Unbelievable. He is really a gift.
Hey, just a thought, maybe People magazine will take a hint from the Rolling Stone sales and include Adam in their Sexiest People issue!!!!
People Mag sucks, especially their Sexiest People issue, same old faces. However, if they’re smart, they’ll put Adam on the cover for his own feature. I bought multiple copies of his RS cover, I knew everyone I knew would want one and I was right! He’s going to be a huge star and I love taking the journey with him.
I agree that Adam is incredibly intoxicating and charismatic. Especially live. Sexy is Sexy! Adam is the sexiest man alive right now!!
Any magazine with Adam on the cover is going to be the best selling issue. Personally I’m looking forward to GQ. He’s model-gorgeous, the camera loves him and his singing is out of this world.
Adam will be in the December issue of Elle magazine, so watch out for it. I could watch and listen to that man all day!
I have to say, Adam is a breath of fresh air. I have been to 3 AI concerts to see him sing. The place just lights up when he is on stage. He lifts you up and brings you back down all in one song. I know Rolling Stone was a huge seller. I can’t imagine what it will be like when he has his next magazine cover and story. He is an extremely interesting guy and must say, beautiful to the eye. He’s a keeper!! Can’t wait for his album.
Amen to all these blogs!! He just intoxicates me. There hasn’t been anyone that excites me like this and makes me goggle them every free moment I have at work. My friends tease me and say, “why do you like him so much? You’ll never met him, besides he’s gay”! Frankly, I could care less what his sexual preference is, he is amazing!! (besides I’d rather see him with another man who loves and appreciates him than some undeserving Hollywood starlet who likes him only for his celebrity). Can’t wait for his album, can’t wait for another cover!!! By the way, love his brother too, their mother must be so proud. What a cool family…

The interview he gave in RS was so Adam..He was so candid, real, HONEST, intelligent, witty, and clever. You never knew what he might say next. I never gave a crap whether he was gay or not. What someone does in their personal life is their own business, not ours. I think that him being gay made me like him even more actually. I agree with what someone said up there that I’d also rather see him with another guy that loves him for who he is instead of some skanky Hollywood star that just likes him for his money and fame. I can never seem to get tired of Glambert. I’m very happy for him and I hope his album goes on to do well..I hope he does great things so great things come back to him! He deserves it =)
Adam is what the music industry needs, he is on his way to superstar, I love and agree with all the post so far, not only is he super talented, has the best voice I have heard in years, he is such a beautiful soul and is a good peron, a good friend, and good son. He is an inspiring role model ! Love and Light always Adam!!!
I think Adam should be the cover of people’s sexiest man alive! He is not only gorgeous but he has so much charisma! I saw him from the front row at his concert and it was so overwhelming. He is so close, so handsome and so talented. It was the best concert experience I ever had.He is actually even better looking, if possible. I am so looking forward to his next concert& his cd! Actually I would like to see him in a movie too!!
Adam is amazing. I would buy any magazine that’s has him on the cover, in fact I especially look hoping to find them but don’t.If they did have him on the cover and more about him inside it would sell like hot cakes – I guarantee!He’s gorgeous, hugely talented and so charismatic and nice.My Rolling Stone magazine is put up to keep forever.

I’m glad Adam was the number one best seller. He is hot and sexy. I can’t wait for his CD to come out. I, unfortunately, was not able to travel to Dallas to see the concert, but I have seen clips on youtube. He is awsome.
Adam is so articulate and well spoken that any magazine that does a good article and puts him on front will sell out. Adam is simply remarkable!! He is stunning to look at, has an out of this world vocal ability, and he is sooo sexy!! No one cares if he is gay and came out, we just love to read about him. He is so generous, and sincere and straight forward when he is interviewed. Adam is taking the world by storm whether he expected to or not.
I agree about people magazine. I submitted and email to name him sexiest man alive. I hate the fact that they put the same faces. Adam is by far the sexiest man I’ve ever seen!! I hope they listen to the millions of fans who would buy this magazine if he were on the cover. RS sold out because Adam is the most beautiful man there is. I can’t imagine that title going to anyone else. Every time he smiles all of the women in my family just melt.

I guess people do not know how to make many! I will buy any magazine that has Adam on the cover! I bought the RS magazine which I never knew that existed, just because of Adam! It was all the way in the back on the lowest shelf! They had so many magazines there that it seemed impossible not to have this one. I found it after a while and how happy it made me! I am obsessed for the first time in my life! My kids and my husband are looking kind of strange at me… They do not recognize me. Neither do I. Adam must be something special to change people this way!

It truly warms my heart to read all these amazing and supportive posts about Adam Lambert. I bought Entertainment Weekly with him on the cover and I bought Rolling Stone because of Adam and I never buy Rolling Stone. I am completely obsessed with him and not only do I listen to his songs every day but I also google him on a daily basis just to see if there is any new stories. I also You Tube him every night and watch is performances over and over again. I have never, ever, ever felt this way about any singer or actor in my entire life (OK, maybe John Travolta after “Grease” came out but I was 12 at the time).
I’m here in Hong Kong and didn’t find myself a copy of RS mag because they were sold out. Asked from the Philippines also sold out. Are there still available copies? How can I get hold because I’m buying a dozen if I could. Thanks.
RS has got the pulse of worldwide readers by believing in ADAM and fans will continue to patronize the mag for being one with us loyal fans. I myself has not bought an RS but will be from now on. But I gotta have that 1st issue with ADAM on the cover.
If People Mag is smart, they will have ADAM as the Sexiest Man Alive. Maybe People Mag has to wait next year when ADAM has come out with his CD. I don’t know when they elect it. But definitely the magazine will be a best seller.

Rolling Stone coud have sold more copies, I went to 4 stores in South Florida before I found 2 copies at a CVS and bought them both, almost gave up! RS should have saw it coming!

I was so happy to get a copy of Rolling Stone, I drove around for a week trying to get a copy and I landed one. It’s no surprise that R.S. had record sales with Adam Lambert on the front. An excellent story and photo shoot, I love Adam all the more after reading it. I’m so addicted on Adam I buy any magazine I can get my hands on that features him. I knew the first time I heard him sing he’d be a super star.

His voice is amazing, but his personality, rock star looks and creativity make him a super star. It is inspiring to watch the crowds respond to his performances. Help! I am addicted to Adam on YouTube. I worry that my family is planning an Adam intervention. I won’t be alone: my Granddaughter will need one too.
