The American Idol winner has revealed how Lambert has been helping him out when it comes to writing songs.

“Adam will get a song, and he’ll be like, ‘Listen to this,’ and I’ll tell him what I think about it, whether I like it or not. And we were actually doing that last night. … He was listening to some things of mine,” Allen told MTV News. “He had some good things to say, some critiques to say as well. We do that to each other. … We’re just trying to help each other out.”

Cutie Kris admits he’s struggled while balancing writing and recording with all the duties that come with his new-found fame.

“The time thing is crazy. When you dream of making your first album, you don’t dream of making it on tour. … It’s nuts, but we’re finding the time to write, and writing is putting my stamp on [my album], so it’s happening,” he said. “To be honest, at first it was hard, because they stuck me in these co-writing sessions, and I was like, ‘I’ve never done this before.’ It was weird. I’d get in there, and I’d be like ‘I don’t know what to do. … I’m sorry.’

“But I’ve gotten used to it, and it’s good to bounce ideas off each other, and so I’ve been writing a lot with other people, and writing some stuff on my own too.”

    Ha!! Kris do you realize you are the luckiest man in the world. Do you know that you have a sex icon and beautiful man next to you at all times. I mean really!! I wish I could be you or any of the idols on tour. Man this guy is going to become a superstar in the world. The biggest rockstar in a long time. I can’t wait for his cd.     Um…did you even bother to read the story before writing this headline???? It totally makes it sound like Adam is writing stuff for Kris’ album. Which is dead WRONG.

    Adam is NOT writing songs for Kris. Kris and Adam are simplybouncing ideas off of each other — like they did when they were on the show. That is very clear if you would bother to read the actual interview. Kris is writing his own stuff — either by himself or with other musicians like Mat Kearney, Claude Kelly and Joe King. NOT with Adam. Likewise, Kris is not writing stuff for Adam’s album.

    Sloppy reporting like this just really ticks me off.

    @evangeline – Kris chose the song on his own and passed the idea by Adam who agreed it was genius. That hardly makes Adam responsible for his win.

    @Adam(reporter/poster/whatever) – That headline is a flat out lie. Fix it. The boys give each other advice – have been doing it from the begining. It’s mutual. Stop making it sound like Adam is doing the work for Kris.

    This is old and unaccurate information. They are together on tour and bounce ideas about stuff they are working in for the album. They are not writting songs for each other, period. And the last remark about Kris being married to a WOMAN is just out of place. Who cares? He could be married to an alien, music is what this is about!

    This is hilarious! Kris was writing music before he ever auditioned for Idol, and more importantly, before he ever MET Adam! Does the writer of this article know what it means to “bounce ideas off each other?” It works both ways, by the way, from Kris to Adam and from Adam to Kris! In fact, sometimes even Allison was involved! These Top 10 form like a family ~ they’re all very close, after spending months on the show and on tour! Sheesh! Media is incredible!
